INTROSPECTIVE: Miguel’s “Wildheart”

A definite favorite in my Library, Miguel’s sound is unique. A recent re-hearing of his third studio album, “Wildheart” showcased just how great he is at navigating his gentle, yet illustrious force. With various collaborating genres ranging from reminiscent 70’s rock with hard riffs to r&b, pop centered tracks like “Coffee,” displays the swooner’s ability to execute almost any sound. Though this album is starkly induced with a sexy, spontaneous vibe, Miguel also exposes some insecurity and fragility into this piece with tracks like “Whats Normal Anyway” and “Simple Things”.
